So, President Donald Trump has started a wee boutique war with Venezuela (“US is sending an aircraft carrier to Latin America in major escalation of military firepower,” Oct. 24). That is just so gosh darn precious that my attention has been completely drawn away from the masked law enforcement officers and military being sent to our cities as well as how Russian President Vladimir Putin is running circles around him over Ukraine and how the poor dear didn’t win the Nobel Peace Prize.
As he blows up their fishing boats in international waters, I no longer pay attention to his revenge lawsuits or tariffs that are destroying our businesses and economy or even the fact that Canada and Greenland hurt his feelings by not wanting to become part of America. Mr. Trump has kindly given us Venezuela and its pesky little boats to worry about instead of, well, everything else he is doing to our country. What a guy!
