As a cancer survivor, I’m saddened that President Donald Trump and Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. have ended cancer funding and research. Instead, $40 billion, much of it American tax dollars, is going to prop up the failing economy of Argentina.

As the former executive director of a community-based nonprofit youth services organization, I’m puzzled as to why the Trump/Kennedy administration killed funding and programs for school-based youth mental health and after-school programs. Instead, they’re asking their deep-pocketed supporters to add another $40 billion to the Argentine pot.

As a person with physical disabilities, I’m also mad that the Trump administration wants to ban mail-in voting. Press reports suggest that a rationale for the $40 billion to Argentina is to assure votes for its president, Javier Milei. Why?
