Trump pardons Binance founder Zhao, citing no fraud amid crypto tensions

Changpeng Zhao, a billionaire who in 2024 pleaded guilty to one count of failing to maintain an anti-money-laundering program, previously asked President Donald Trump for a pardon. He stepped down from his role as CEO of Binance and went on to serve at least four months in prison and paid a $50 million fine.
