Democratic voters' frustration can be seen with the success of outsiders to the party’s brand like Zohran Mamdani in New York and Graham Platner’s Senate campaign in Maine, both of which have been filled with criticisms of the Democratic Party. Governors in blue states have a leg up to show voters they are willing to fight President Donald Trump and his administration.
