Kate Cimini edits and writes investigative stories for The Baltimore Sun. She previously worked as the Florida investigative reporter for the Naples Daily News and The News-Press, where she investigated a sheriff accused of money laundering, held accountable a school system that exposed its youngest, most vulnerable students to a prolific child predator, and reported through Hurricane Ian.
She also worked as an investigative and enterprise reporter for CalMatters and The Salinas Californian, examining inequity across California during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her series on COVID-19 and agriculture resulted in new legislation around state reporting and health practices.
