President Donald Trump is threatening to sue the British Broadcasting Corp. for at least $1 billion, accusing the broadcaster of defamation and of deceptively editing a Jan. 6 speech to portray him as inciting violence. The BBC documentary that aired just before the 2024 U.S. presidential election has sparked a major controversy, leading to the resignations of the BBC's top executives.
